Covid-19 Update
Winter Semester 2023
THANK YOU TO OUR ENTIRE CCBT COMMUNITY for your patience, support & understanding through this unprecedented & challenging 3 years! As we celebrate our 15th Year on Cape Cod... We look forward to continuing to provide a place to find community, collaboration, creativity, artistic growth, as well as a strong technical foundation & appreciation for the power of movement & the performing arts.
Besides offering a quality arts education, CCBT is committed to keeping our community safe & healthy. Because dance is considered a 'high-risk indoor activity for the transmission of COVID,' CCBT has been operating under a 'COVID Health & Safety Agreement' since reopening to in-person classes in September 2020. This agreement between staff, families & students, helps ensure the safety of everyone who comes into our school. Thankfully, these protocols have worked & allowed us to remain open. And now, because 85% of CCBT faculty & students are fully vaccinated & Barnstable County is considered a 'low/medium risk area for COVID transmission...' Masks became optional for everyone as of July 4th, 2022. However, should local cases surge again, safety protocols would be reassesed and may be reinstated if necessary. Continuing protocols will be: Pre-class check-ins, increased ventilation & air circulation, reduced class sizes, LOTS of available hand sanitizer, as well as disinfecting the studio between all classes. We'll continue to monitor the latest data & recommendations not only from the CDC, MA & American Academy of Pediatrics, but also from the National Dance Education Organization, DanceUSA, AEA & SAG/AFTRA.
Finally... As our community transitions into whatever is the next phase of the pandemic, I hope we can all set a good example for our children by showing grace & flexibility. There are still uncertainties & gray areas as we slowly return to “normal;” and it serves us all well if we’re able to move forward with kindness & understanding.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at capecodballettheatre@gmail.com Till then... Be well, stay healthy & keep dancing!
